Darragh Mason is the reason why you are reading this website. He is the original case study participant and I always jokingly blame him for everything.
I met Darragh in February 2020 while I was working on my master's. My thesis titled, The Hidden Predator: Deconstructing the Shadow Side of Reality, ended up being an excellent topic for his podcast, Spirit Box. Darragh was the second person to interview me on The Hidden Predator and we've been friends ever since.
Our continued collaboration has transitioned over to this Ph.D. project. Please read below for the details on how our friendship transformed into this project.
The other catalyst was Danny Nemu. He is the second official case study participant. A powerful synchronicity occurred between these two men after Darragh's ancestral reading, to be explained below.
Shortly after their connection, Darragh introduced me to Danny. I performed an ancestral reading for Danny in January 2022 and the rest is history.
In hindsight, the ancestors have orchestrated everything beautifully.
I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to both men and their ancestors for trusting me and my ancestors during this process. We've experimented with incredible techniques and experienced impressive results. Their participation has helped me develop some of the more advanced modalities practiced within this project. I truly could not have come so far so fast without such talented contributions.
Darragh's reading was performed on April 26, 2021, using the Quareia deck created by Josephine McCarthy. Some of the cards from that reading are pictured above.
I conducted the reading alone and connected with a future version of Darragh through an ancestrally guided journey. Darragh's Future Self picked thirteen cards. His ancestors instructed me on where to place them in a layout of their creation. Four cards were assigned as an ancestor and another four cards were assigned as the gift and talent associated with that ancestor. His ancestors taught me what each card meant for Darragh specifically and how to interpret them in relation to the way they were positioned.
That last point is important because these readings are very different from traditional tarot readings. Ancestral readings always have a reading within the reading, which is where the ancestral initiation resides. For example, most ancestral layouts reveal a mirror effect where the card opposite in any direction provides more information. Picture a large tarot spread being used as a hand held origami paper game. An example is shown below.
Darragh's ancestors also communicated that his reading was a "blueprint" for his ancestral initiation. When I receive a single word answer, I always research the definition(s) and etymology for more clues. A blueprint is a detailed plan or program of action and a complete plan that explains how to do or develop something. A blueprint is also designed to help identify possible collaborators with the ability to refine and adapt the plan to maximize cooperation and who can contribute early to the design process. (Merriam-Webster and Cambridge Dictionary)
We treated the ancestors as the "collaborators" with the ability to "contribute early to the design process" and their assigned gifts and talents were the "plan of action" that was to play out over the next couple of years of Darragh's future. This reading is still running its course as of 2024, and we continue to measure and document the accuracy.
Essentially, our job was to activate those specific gifts and talents within Darragh's blood and bones during our monthly sessions by working with the appointed ancestor through the initiation process in order to accomplish his goals.
Initially, the most significant cards were the Inner Librarian, the ancestor, and the Place of Healing, the gift and talent (see below).
Quareia tarot card pulled during Darragh Mason's ancestral reading. This card represented a gift and talent and was aligned with the ancestor associated with the Inner Librarian card below. The Place of Healing indicated a literal location nearby, as well as the capability of Darragh's writing to be healing for both himself and his audience. The Shamaness card, see above, mirrored the Place of Healing card in the layout. This mirror indicated that there should be a connection and there certainly was, see the next image.
The mirror become a reality through this local well, pictured above, found by Danny Nemu and his family prior to meeting Darragh Mason.
Danny will probably deny this title, but he is the "Shaman" associated with the well or the "Place of Healing" who lead Darragh to the literal location. See Danny's bio below for more on his background.
Quareia tarot card pulled during Darragh Mason's ancestral reading. The Inner Librarian card was significant for Darragh for a multitude of reasons which are extremely personal to him. What I can share is that it certainly represented one of his goals. See the image of his upcoming book to the right.
